Since 2002, Abrakadoodle has engaged kids with creative art classes, themed summer art camps, holiday art camps, art parties, and special events. The program offers toddler art classes called Twoosy Doodlers (ages 20 months–3), preschool art classes called Mini Doodlers (ages 3–5), and elementary school art classes called Doodlers (ages 6 and up). Art camps include art lessons, music, games, crafts, and special activities for children ages three to twelve.

Art classes focus on creativity and use a wide variety of materials such as paints, wire, clays, bamboo brushes, molding compounds, oil pastels, and more. Kids experiment with color, form, line, shape, texture, and value, and explore art forms including painting, sculpting, drawing, collage, paper and fabric art, mosaics, anime, studio art, and styles ranging from Pop Art to Pointillism. Kids learn about classic artists such as Picasso and Rembrandt and contemporary artists such as wildlife artist Mort Solberg and food designer Lisa Cherkasky, and through the Artist of Distinction Program they learn about different ways working artists are creative. Abrakadoodle embraces “process art” and offers a comprehensive, standards-based curriculum entitled Art In Our World, with art lesson plans that exceed national standards for visual arts education.

Abrakadoodle brings art onsite to kids in schools and community sites through a mobile art program and provides one-day creative art events including art birthday parties, art workshops for kids and adults, and other art events. Schools across the country have contracted with Abrakadoodle to be their school’s Academic Art Program, including Charter Schools, Private Schools, and Public Schools, and Abrakadoodle offers an Academic Art Program that becomes the school’s academic art program. Art lessons help children build cognitive skills including concept development, problem solving, language, history, measurement, critical thinking, fine motor development, and many other skills, and kids develop confidence as their creativity soars.

Abrakadoodle provides well-trained teachers, and the Educational Director is Gertrud Luer. The Co-Founder and President of Abrakadoodle is Rosemarie Hartnett. The Abrakadoodle mission is “to enhance the lives of children by creating an educationally rich learning environment that ignites their imaginations and leads them to discover their own unique creativities, talents and abilities.”

Abrakadoodle has been voted “Best Art Class to Inspire Your Child’s Inner Picasso.” Abrakadoodle has been listed among the top brands of 2025 by the Franchise Journal and ranked as one of the Top 100 Franchises Under $50k by Entrepreneur. Ms. Hartnett, Co-Founder and President of Abrakadoodle, was included in the Franchise Dictionary Magazine’s 2025 Women of Wonder (WOW) Celebration.

He talks quite a bit about them and looks forward to displaying his art on the art wall at home.” Another parent, Amy Wolfe, said, “First, I love how organized and great the teachers are. …..I absolutely loved the finished product the children could take home- they were very impressive and as a parent of a child who was in the class, we hung every piece in his room.” Joel Rivera from Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley in Aliso Viejo, CA, said, “The Abrakadoodle program connects with the kids. I wanted to let you know that Rachel could not wait to get to class each week and produced some amazing art projects. We are so excited by your program and want to thank you for bringing it to our area.” Suzanne Hodges from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI, said that Abrakadoodle has “completely hassle-free programs, and teachers who understand the needs of my students.”
