University of Minnesota Dance Team Clinics

The University of Minnesota Dance Team Clinics offers the Minnesota Made Fall Training Clinic, the Advanced Summer Intensive + Elite Recruit Showcase, the Advanced Middle School Clinic, the Intermediate Clinic, the Spring Middle School Clinic, the Spring Kid's Clinic, the College Prep Clinic, and the Technique Clinic. The listed clinics include jazz, pom, lyrical combos, foundational technique, musicality, connection, movement, performance, and classes in Jazz, Lyrical, and Pom styles. Some offerings are open to dancers in 6th grade and older, 7th grade and older, middle school dancers, or preschool through 5th grade.

Programs

• Minnesota Made Fall Training Clinic — Open to dancers in 6th grade and older · The training clinic is designed for advanced dancers, with modifications available for intermediate dancers.
• Advanced Summer Intensive + Elite Recruit Showcase — Calling all dancers 9th grade and older · Dancers in their Junior or Senior year (as of the 26-27 school year) are also invited to sign up for the Elite Recruit Showcase.
• Advanced Middle School Clinic — Middle school dancers · Inviting all middle school dancers. The clinic includes jazz, pom, and lyrical combos.
• Intermediate Clinic — For dancers in 6th grade and older · Intermediate level clinic focused on foundational technique, musicality, connection, movement, and performance.
• Spring Middle School Clinic — 6th-8th grade · Designed for intermediate to advanced dancers.
• Spring Kid's Clinic — Preschool – 5th grade · No dance experience required. Portions of the clinic will be broken out by age.
• College Prep Clinic — Advanced dancers; modifications available for intermediate dancers · The spring clinic includes 4 hours of instruction and classes in Jazz, Lyrical, and Pom styles.
• Technique Clinic — 7th grade and older · There are two different sessions offered: Intermediate Dancers, and Advanced / Elite Dancers.

About the provider

The University of Minnesota Dance Team has been crowned National Champions 24 times since 2003. It is the reigning four-peat National Champion in Pom, was second runners up in Jazz, and won four Gold Medals at the ICU World Championships, plus a World Championship in Pom in 2025 and a Silver medal in Jazz.
