Outback Ranch Riding Lessons and Kids Programs offers guided horseback riding trail rides, private one-hour riding lessons, and rider development focused on building confidence and skills. Kids can take part in activities such as grooming, learning about tack, horse riding, horse care, horse handling skill building, and a horse craft through the Kids Summer Boot Camp. The program also offers an introduction to barrel shooting and mounted arrow shooting, as well as options for overnight and monthly horse boarding.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Generally open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM from spring through fall, with one-hour group trail rides, private one-hour lessons, Weekend Ladies Retreats in June, and Kids Summer Boot Camp sessions in June
• Price: One-hour group trail rides are $60 per person; private one-hour lessons are $50 per hour; Weekend Ladies Retreats are $550 per person; Kids Summer Boot Camp is $275 per person per day; boarding prices range from $300–$450
Lessons are taught by an experienced wrangler and mentor. Riders must be at least six years old, weigh less than 250 pounds for trail rides, arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled ride, and have a reservation for trail rides and lessons. Trail rides are primarily walk/trot, long pants and closed-toed, closed-heeled footwear are strongly encouraged, no dogs are allowed on the ranch premises, an outdoor port-a-potty restroom is available, and all major credit cards and cash are accepted, with no checks. The ranch offers private, guided trail rides for all levels of skill, with each horse trail ride unique to the group or family, and gift certificates are available in any amount and for any activity. The facility includes an indoor 68'x108' riding barn, a 36'x90' stall barn for indoor boarding, and pasture boarding.
