About
Prior Lake Soccer Club Summer Camps & Training includes BASE Camp and ASCENT Camp. BASE Camp is designed for young recreational and competitive players to develop the fundamentals of the game in a positive, age-appropriate environment, and players build technical skills, confidence, and game understanding through engaging sessions led by PLSC coaches. ASCENT Camp is where ambitious players train in a high-intensity environment alongside top-level competition and coaching, and it challenges players through game-real training that reflects the demands of the club’s highest level.
• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: BASE Camp runs June 22–25 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM; ASCENT Camp offers a June session on June 15–16 and a July session on July 13–14 with separate time blocks for U11–13 and U14+
• Price: BASE Camp registration fee is $175; ASCENT Camp registration fee is $110 per camp
Sessions are led by PLSC coaches, who are described as experienced professionals dedicated to developing competitive players who can perform under pressure. ASCENT Camp is designed for competitive players pursuing placement on top teams and is not a recreational camp. The club states that its focus is on learning the right habits early while fostering a love for the game that supports long-term growth at any level, and that it provides clear pathways from recreational to competitive programming where players advance based on skill development and readiness rather than pressure or rushed timelines. The club also states that advancement happens when players are prepared, not based on age or comparison to others, and that all games and training for recreational programming take place at Prior Lake facilities. The club does not guarantee playing time, positions, or wins, and instead guarantees a challenging environment with clear expectations, quality coaching, and competitive opportunities that prepare players to succeed. Prior Lake Soccer Club has been part of the Prior Lake community for 50 years, and its mission is to develop competitive players through strong coaching, clear expectations, and proven pathways, supporting growth from recreational soccer to top-tier teams competing at the highest levels. The Director of Operations is Melissa Becken, and Twin Cities Orthopedics is a stated sponsor of Prior Lake Soccer Club. The program notes that a child will not be allowed to leave the park until a parent has either picked them up or notified the club of another arrangement via text.
