Vital Volleyball Sand Program

The Vital Volleyball Sand Program includes sand volleyball practices that focus on the sand game and end with scrimmaging at each practice. At the first practice, participants are divided into three groups, with one group per court of about 10–15 players. The program offers only practice sessions for the season, and any tournaments are arranged by participants on their own.

• Ages: 11–18 years old for girls; boys up to age 14 (8th grade)
• Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9–11am, June 23rd–August 6th (6 weeks, off the week of July 4th), for a total of 12 practices
• Price: $500 Standard Full Session, paid in full at registration

The program’s mission is to provide the highest level of training that will empower athletes through a volleyball-rich environment with an experienced coaching staff, with a focus on developing players’ skills. Coaches for the program are Anika Weber, Aubrey Wieser, Grace Travis, Grant Menke, Savannah Tody, and Zoe Schuele. The Standard Full Session has a maximum of 50 participants, and each participant receives one practice shirt, one sports bra, sand socks, and a Vital beach towel.

Vital staff track the weather before each practice and decide to move forward or cancel at least one hour before the start time. Cancellations are communicated by email and social media, and may occur for lightning in the area, heavy rain or hail, or wind of about 30 mph or more, while light rain alone is not a cause for cancelling. Nike is an official sponsor of Vital Volleyball Club, which is also a JVA Members Club and is connected with North Country Region Volleyball, Fortis Academy, and Champions Hall.

If a participant decides not to play and notifies the program before May 15th, a 100% refund is given; if notification is between May 16th and June 5th, a 50% refund is given; and if notification is June 5th or later, no refund is given.
