Paramount Center for the Arts Summer Camps
Paramount Center for the Arts, 913 West St. Germain, St Cloud, MN 56301
About
Paramount Center for the Arts Summer Art Camps offer fun-filled camps that are jam-packed with chances for kids to work with clay, painting and drawing, mixed media, glass projects, and more. Each week of camp ends with an Art Show during the final 20 minutes of camp, when friends and family are welcome to attend. Work that needs kiln firing stays on site, and families are emailed when it is ready for pick-up, typically three or four weeks after the final day of camp.
• Schedule: Camps run Monday through Thursday each week
• Price: Arts Underground: $10 Adults; $10 Youth/Student.
If a student is registered for both morning and afternoon camps in a week, the student may remain on site and eat lunch with staff, and should bring a bag lunch because students will not be able to leave the facility to purchase lunch or use vending machines. Families are responsible for arranging transportation, and students are asked to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the start of classes and be picked up no later than 15 minutes after camps end. Children are asked to wear clothes that can get messy and closed-toe shoes, and no tree nut or peanut products should be sent due to allergy concerns. Devices such as phones or tablets should be on silent during camps, and the Paramount is not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen devices.
In the Ceramics Studios, all clay must be purchased through the Paramount Center for the Arts, and no outside clay bodies or glazes should be brought in, with materials matching the recommended brands and grade or being approved by Paramount staff. Visitors are asked not to eat in any of the studios. The Paramount Visual Arts Studios describe themselves as a creative environment for the community to interface with the visual arts and as a community resource that welcomes beginning students through experienced artists in renovated studios for hands-on arts education. The Paramount Center for the Arts states that it welcomes all guests, artists, and patrons and affirms a commitment to offering programming and services that are accessible to all, and it invites comments and suggestions to improve programs and services for visitors with disabilities.
The Paramount Center for the Arts’ Assistance Fund provides access to educational arts programming for those with financial limitations. The Visual Arts Studios note a 25 Year Anniversary (VAS). Age requirements for studios state that all visitors must be 18 years or older unless accompanied by an adult at all times, unless the program specifically outlines a younger age such as Summer Art Camps. Arts Underground is described as a drop-in program offered on a first come, first served basis, and once capacity is reached a sign is posted at the door. Open Studio access is available for ceramic artists outside of class when studios are not in session.
Cancellations are eligible for a partial refund, less an administration fee of 15% of camp tuition, if the cancellation happens 15 or more calendar days before the camp start date, and there are no refunds for cancellations 14 days or fewer before the camp start date. The Paramount is unable to pro-rate camps due to absences, except in the case of family or medical emergency. Box Office hours for in-person registration are 10am–2pm Monday through Saturday, and 2026 Summer Art Camps will go live on Monday, March 2 at 10am. The Director of Community Engagement is Aimee Miron.
