Classical Ballet Academy of Minnesota offers Pre-Ballet Workshops, Level 1&2 DanceCamp, the 31st MN DanceCamp Intensive, choreography, adult classes, and private lessons. Ongoing class levels include PRE-BALLET (ages 4-6), BEGINNING Levels 1-3, INTERMEDIATE Levels 4-6, ADVANCED Levels 7-8, and a BOY’S CLASS that focuses on elements of jumps, strength, and turns. The program is the Official School of Ballet Minnesota and includes a PRE-PROFESSIONAL PERFORMING ARTS DIVISION for Advanced Levels 7-8.

• Schedule: Summer classes run June 8, 2026 – August 21, 2026, and school-year classes for Pre-Ballet, Beginning Levels 1-3, Intermediate Levels 4-6, and Advanced Levels 7-8 run September 8, 2025 – May 16, 2026; the Boy’s Class meets once a week on Saturday
Classical Ballet Academy of Minnesota is now in its 37th year and is co-directed by Cheryl and Andrew Rist. The program teaches the joy and artistry of dance to students age 4–Adult through quality education and performance. All CBA students perform twice a year in Ballet Minnesota’s “NUTCRACKER” and the “MINNESOTA DANCE FESTIVAL.” A noted CBA graduate is Sara Ezzell, CBA alumni, Principal Dancer Mikhaylovsky Theater, Russia; Stuttgart Ballet, Germany; and Hamburg Ballet, Germany. Parents describe Classical Ballet Academy as a small studio with personalized professional ballet instruction, classical and thorough training, and professional performance opportunities such as The Nutcracker and Andrew Rist’s children’s ballets.
