About
Minneapolis Youth Baseball Association (Minneapolis Millers Youth Baseball) offers travel baseball teams, a House League development recreational program, and the Oliva League in-house competitive program. The program also organizes fundraising activities, including a golf tournament with a hole-in-one contest, a silent auction, and fundraising via the FlipGive app.
• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: The fourth annual Millers & Storm golf tournament is Thursday, June 11, with a 10 AM shotgun start.
• Price: $95/player includes range balls, greens fees, cart, and a chance to win $10,000 in a hole-in-one contest.
The Minneapolis Youth Baseball Association is a non-profit organization operated by volunteers who are passionate about teaching kids to play baseball. It fields the Minneapolis Millers Travel Teams for players in 3rd through 9th grade (9U–14/15U), with travel teams divided into three skill levels (AAA, AA, A) that compete in the Metro Baseball League. The House League development recreational program is for players in kindergarten through 4th grade, and it has expanded to include the Oliva League, an in-house competitive program for 5th and 6th graders. House League development teams compete in recreational leagues at the coach pitch and kid pitch levels, and Oliva League teams compete in-house to provide a bridge between recreational league and travel league. Scholarships are available. The organization notes that MYBA Board membership is a 2-year commitment, and it maintains a Monthly Newsletter Archive with issues from June 2026 back to June 2025. Thank-you recognition is given to sponsors, with special thanks to grants from the Minnesota Twins and Hennepin County. FlipGive is used so that purchases made through the app send a portion of the purchase price to the Millers; each 12U team family joins their player’s team on FlipGive with proceeds going toward team fundraising for out-of-state tournaments and other qualifying items, and all other teams fundraise for their combined age group in general via FlipGive. The fourth annual Millers & Storm golf tournament includes a chance to win $10,000 in a hole-in-one contest and features a silent auction, with Pat Smith listed as the contact for auction item donations or sponsorships. Families are directed to contact Dave Oehler at [email protected] with any questions or interest, and Jess Sutherland is listed for Marketing & Communications. The website for the program is powered by SportsEngine’s Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software.
