About

Dodge Nature Center Camps offer seasonal camps where campers explore natural areas, meet live animals, and get their hands dirty. Campers hike the trails and can hike to Dodge’s sugarbush to learn about the process of maple sap collection and syrup production.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Seasonal single-day and four-day camps between March and October, generally running 8:15 a.m.–3:00 p.m. per day

Dodge Nature Center Camps include seasonal offerings for campers in grades K–8, with Spring Break Camp and Fall Break Camp for kids in grades K–8 and Summer Camp for kids entering grades 1–8. For ages 3–5, Dodge Nature Preschool offers a summer program. Dodge Nature Center and Preschool states that it is for everyone and creates and fosters a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where all can nourish their need for nature. The organization’s mission is providing exceptional experiences in nature through environmental education, and its mission, vision, and values emphasize access to environmental education and experiences in nature.

Founded in 1967 by Olivia Irvine Dodge, the Thomas Irvine Dodge Nature Center was one of the first nature centers in the state of Minnesota and a pioneer in environmental education. The nature center provides environmental and agricultural experiences for thousands of people every year through school and public programs, community events, and a nature preschool that is recognized nationally. The 12-month Naturalist Fellowship at Dodge Nature Center prepares college graduates for a wide array of education careers. A Camp Policies & Information section is available and includes what to bring to camp, check-in and checkout details, cancellation policy, FAQs, and more.
