Woodbury Athletic Association is an independent, nonprofit youth organization administered and managed almost entirely by volunteer adults serving the City of Woodbury and the surrounding areas. Woodbury Athletic Association soccer is powered by Salvo Soccer Club for all recreation soccer programming, and the Futures program is a bridge program for U8/U9 players preparing to transition into Salvo Soccer Club's competitive soccer program. The Futures program is offered in both the spring and fall seasons and includes an academy-style training program on Friday nights that focuses on dribbling with all parts of the foot, 1v1 skills such as stopping, starting, and turning, passing and receiving techniques, and scrimmages or games, with 1–2 additional soccer events possible during the season.

Salvo Soccer Club's Recreation Soccer Program is based on U.S. Soccer Grassroots best practices, and Salvo provides weekly practice plans to Woodbury Recreation coaches. Salvo Soccer Club's Recreation Soccer Program is the only recreation program in the State of Minnesota to receive the US Youth Soccer 5-Star Recreation Award multiple times. Woodbury Athletic Association states that it has made a commitment to provide a safe, welcoming, positive and productive experience for youth participants, families, and the community of Woodbury, and that it considers diversity a fundamental value to be fully upheld and respected in every decision. The stated goal of the Recreation Soccer program is to provide an opportunity for community members to have fun, learn about soccer, and develop a love for the game.

The Woodbury Athletic Association office hours are Monday through Wednesday from 12:00–4:00 PM, Thursday from 12:00–4:00 PM, and Friday by appointment only, with staff available only by appointment or via phone or email during a remodel from June 15th–July 28th. The Woodbury Athletic Association Board meets on the second Monday of each month at 8:00 PM. The program notes that road closures in Woodbury can cause delays and detours, that no parking zones are strictly enforced with cars ticketed and towed, and that families are asked to park only in parking lots, not on grass, follow clearly marked “No Parking” curbs, and carpool or come in the smallest number of cars per family. It also notes that there can be other activities happening at the Sportscenter or Ojibway Park and that all parking lots have walking paths connected to the fields.
