Camp Rainbow Foundation (Camp Braveways) offers free camp experiences and programs for children and families affected by childhood cancer and blood-related diseases. The organization runs seven unique camp programs and provides year-round experiences that have welcomed nearly 15,000 campers across the St. Louis area. The same camp has been rebranded from Camp Rainbow to Camp Braveways.

Camp Rainbow Foundation has been operating since 1988 and has served over 14,000 campers since opening. In 2024, the organization welcomed 1,098 campers with the help of 227 volunteers, 15 medical professionals, six employees, and one intern. The mission of Camp Rainbow Foundation is to provide free camp experiences and programs for children and families affected by childhood cancer and blood-related diseases and to bring joy and connection to kids and families affected by childhood cancer and blood-related illnesses.
Camp Rainbow Foundation serves families in St. Louis and surrounding regions and serves the Missouri/Illinois bi-state area. Campers are referred to the camps by their pediatric oncology facility, and the organization draws from three major pediatric hospitals in St. Louis: Mercy Children's Hospital, Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. The organization works closely with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations to strengthen support for its mission and recruits more than 350 volunteers every year.
The leadership team includes Heather Bachman (Executive Director), Tricia McCaffrey (Director of Volunteer & Acquisitions), Kevin Amstutz (Director of Donor Development), Suzanne Slagle (Business Manager/Office Manager), Hannah Steele (Marketing and Communications Manager), Alishia Vogt (Director of Camps), Kristen Yelton (Senior Director of Camps), and Alex Wilcox (Oncology Overnight Camp Program Co-Director). Staff members bring experience in social services, leadership, development and fundraising, office management, marketing, camping and aquatics, and operations.
