Aaron Boldman started Future Men Christian Boarding School for Struggling Boys in 2001. The program describes itself as a Christian residential program for teenage boys ages 14 to 17 who are struggling with behavior, motivation, academics, or direction in life, and as an early intervention school whose calling is to lead struggling teens to realize their individual purpose, or destiny, in Christ. Its mission statement describes Future Men as a Christian boarding school and discipleship program for teenage boys ages 14–19 that provides a secure, disciplined, year-round environment with around-the-clock structure where boys reshape their mindset, gain real-world vocational skills, and strengthen their character, guided by consistent mentoring, counseling, and daily motivation, grounded in biblical truth so boys gain a strong Christian worldview that transforms their lives from the inside out.
The program states that spiritual life is its foundational characteristic, and that Bible study, worship, and prayer frame everything done at Future Men. It uses a Positive Peer Culture model for change, specific leadership training, and Life-On-Life mentoring and discipleship as boys and staff work side by side on campus. Every teen is encouraged to play at least one sport, and the campus is described as a wilderness campus with lakefront property, rugged trails, and overnight camping areas, and as a brotherhood rooted in faith rather than a boot camp or reform school. Future Men reports open and ongoing communication with parents and a culture of humility and openness to feedback from families.
Future Men is a fully accredited high school, accredited by the state of Missouri, and it has Cognia accreditation for academic rigor and transfer credibility. The program offers accredited academic support with an individualized academic pace, along with hands-on work experiences, vocational skill building, and practical life training. Staff are trained in biblical guidance, adolescent development, and ethical care. The leadership team includes Aaron Boldman, Headmaster/Founder; Lance High, Assistant Director; Matt Williamson, Discipleship Director; and Luke Williamson, Staff Director.
Mission trips and community service events are described as giving real-life experience and application of the leadership principles taught at Future Men. Parent and student testimonials describe situations involving drug use, a Christ-centered environment, structured and godly surroundings, counseling, and changes noticed by families and former students, including one parent whose son completed the Future Men program with a Future Men certificate and a high school diploma.
