Kids Horseback Riding Lessons

Kids Horseback Riding Lessons includes Boys & Girls Texas Tots Horsemanship, Boys & Girls Beginning Horsemanship, Boys & Girls Beginner Horseback Riding I, Boys & Girls Beginner Horseback Riding II, Texas Tots Horsemanship II, and Ride On. Activities include meeting real horses, learning horse grooming and safety, grooming and tacking horses, and learning English or western riding technique. A riding helmet is mandatory and is provided for some classes.

• Boys & Girls Beginning Horsemanship — ages 6+ · Tuesdays at 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. · $229 per class
• Boys & Girls Beginner Horseback Riding I — ages 6+ · Mondays at 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.; Tuesdays at 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. · $249 per class · For beginner students who have taken Beginning Horsemanship or have had previous riding lessons. Students groom and tack a horse in a small group. Helmet provided.
• Boys & Girls Beginner Horseback Riding II — ages 6+ · Mondays at 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.; Tuesdays at 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. · $269 per class · For students who have taken Beginning Horsemanship and Beginner Horseback Riding I. Students groom and tack their lesson horse and riding is the majority of class time. Helmet provided.
• Boys & Girls Texas Tots Horsemanship — ages 4-5 · Sundays at 12:30 - 1:15 p.m. · $229 per class · Designed for little ones. Kids meet real horses and learn while having fun. Saddles, bridles, horse grooming and safety are part of the program.
• Texas Tots Horsemanship II — ages 4-5 · Sundays at 1:30 - 2:15 p.m. · $249 per class · For students who have taken Texas Tots. Students groom and tack a horse in groups and learn English or western riding technique.
• Ride On — Mondays at 5:00 p.m.; Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.; Thursdays at 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. · $229 per month · For students who have completed Beginner Riding II and want ongoing intermediate lessons. Four students accepted in each class.

About the provider

A riding helmet is mandatory and will be provided for some classes. Students in some classes must wear hard-soled shoes and long pants. Some classes require a parent or guardian to accompany a child to the first lesson and sign a permission/release form before class begins.
