Foundry Art Centre Free Foundry Programs

Foundry Art Centre Free Foundry Programs includes Art Start, First Fridays Art Activities, Second Saturday Studio, Evening Stitch n’ Bitch, Daytime Stitch n’ Bitch, and Homeschool art classes. Art Start includes story times with books and a small art project that pairs with the stories. Second Saturday Studio includes self-guided art-making, gallery exploration, and interaction with working artists, and the Stitch n’ Bitch programs are free fiber crafts clubs where all fiber crafts are welcome.

Programs

• Art Start — 2–5-year-old preschooler with a caregiver · Every Tuesday at 10:00 AM · Story times with books and a small art project that pairs with the stories. Always free. Siblings welcome. For groups of more than 5, call for accommodations.
• First Fridays Art Activities — All ages · First Friday of each month, 5:00-8:00 PM · Families and visitors are invited to join the Foundry and celebrate the arts.
• Second Saturday Studio — All ages · Every second Saturday, September through May · Self-guided art-making, gallery exploration, and interaction with working artists. Closed during June, July, and August. For groups over 8, contact Christine Tavares for reservations.
• Evening Stitch n’ Bitch — Monthly on Thursday evenings, 6:00-8:00 PM · Free fiber crafts club. All fiber crafts are welcome. BYO snacks. Inclusive environment and everyone is welcome.
• Daytime Stitch n’ Bitch — Monthly on Thursday mornings, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM · Free fiber crafts club. All fiber crafts are welcome. BYO snacks. Inclusive environment and everyone is welcome.
• Homeschool art classes — Ages 8-12 · Tuesdays, 11:00 AM-12:00 PM · Week-to-week sessions at a cost of $15 per week. Homeschool art series: 13 Artists Children Should Know. Students explore a variety of media.

The Foundry Art Centre connects people with the arts through exhibitions, studio artists, performances, and education.

For groups of more than 5, call for accommodations. Siblings welcome. Second Saturday Studio is closed during the summer months (June, July, and August). For groups over 8, contact Christine Tavares for reservations. Limited seats available and advanced registration required for homeschool classes. The Foundry Art Centre does not make up or refund classes if a student misses a class. Accommodations can be made for cancellations 14 days prior to the date of the workshop.
