Gracie Barra St. Peters Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, martial arts, grappling, and kickboxing for kids and families. Classes follow the Gracie Barra Program Structure developed by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. to meet specific learning needs for different ages, genders, and levels. Gracie Barra St. Peters offers world-class level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction for individuals, families, and Law Enforcement officials. The school provides children’s classes for ages 4–6 and 7–9, kids’ classes for ages 10–12, and teens’ classes for ages 13–15. Kids’ programs include courses in bully prevention, self-defense, and sport Jiu-Jitsu. Gracie Barra St. Peters is a reference for fitness, character development, self-defense, martial arts, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training for the communities of St. Peters, St. Charles, and Cottleville. Head Professor Mike Buckels is a master level practitioner of the martial arts with over 25 years of experience and holds 7 degrees of black belt in various forms of martial arts, including a 3rd-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Master Carlos Gracie Jr. and Professor Marcio Feitosa. His credentials include C.B.J.J., I.B.J.J.F. and U.S.B.J.J.F. Black Belt 3rd Degree in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I.B.J.J.F. referee, M.T.I.A. Certified Kru (Black Belt) in Muay Thai, U.S.A. judo brown belt (2nd degree) in Judo, and W.K.S.A. black belt 2nd stripe in Kuk Sul Hapkido. He is also a California state judo coach, a Gracie Barra certified instructor, and a Gracie Barra regional director. The leadership team includes Head Professor Mike Buckels (Regional Director | O’Fallon Instructor), Dennis Knaust (student-turned-professor), Kaden Knaust, and Emma Knaust. Dennis Knaust is an accomplished Jiu Jitsu Black Belt.

Professor Mike’s students’ titles include International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation World champion, World no-gi champion, Pan American champion, American National champion, U.S. Open champion, American Cup champion, Kids PanAmerican champion, North American Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation American National champion and American World champion, American Grappling Federation National Champion, Pan American of Submission Grappling champion, USA World Judo team member, NCAA Judo champion, W.K.S.A. World champion, and King of the Cage MMA World champion.
