World Taekwondo Academy offers Taekwondo programs that include Taekwondo sparring, Taekwondo weapons training, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and kickboxing. The program also offers online martial arts classes, invigorating workouts, and real-world self-defense. Programs are available for kids, youth, and teens/adults, and include options for the entire family to participate.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
World Taekwondo Academy was established in 1969 and has been operating for over 50 years. The Academy includes a Lil' Dragons program for 3–5 year olds and offers Taekwondo programs for kids ages 3–6, youth ages 7–12, and teens/adults 13 and older. All programs are month-to-month with no contracts or gimmicks, and there is a free 2-week trial course that includes a uniform, as well as a two-week free trial for online classes that also comes with a free uniform.
The Victor, Montana leadership team includes Head Instructor Ms. Anjelica Hish, along with Mrs. Lisa Hish and Mr. Ayden. Ms. Anjelica is a 2nd Dan Black Belt certified by Kukkiwon, a USA Taekwondo Certified Referee (2015), and has experience in self-defense instructing, kickboxing instructing, and kettle bell practice. Mrs. Lisa Hish is a 1st Dan Black Belt certified by Kukkiwon and a certified blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with experience in self-defense instructing, kickboxing, and grappling. Mr. Ayden is a 1st Dan Black Belt certified by Kukkiwon and a certified white/blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with experience in self-defense instructing, kickboxing, and grappling. Instructors at World Taekwondo Academy include certified Black Belts, National Champions, Pan Am Champions, U.S.A. Team members, and U.S. and Olympic Coaches.
World Taekwondo Academy states that its programs are designed to provide high quality martial arts instruction for kids and adults while teaching respect and discipline, and that every student will learn real martial arts and gain confidence. The Academy describes itself as one of the original Taekwondo schools in Minnesota, the “Home of Champions,” and the home of 2020 and 2024 Olympians.
