• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options Monday–Friday 9:00am–9:00pm and Saturday–Sunday 8:00am–5:00pm
The program states, “We make learning music fun!” and offers a free trial class or free trial lesson, as well as gift cards for music classes. The area’s top professional musicians teach in these programs. Cary & Clayton School of Creative Arts is one of the Triangle’s largest private music and visual art schools and has been in operation since at least 2017. The school gives art students real-world career experience by getting their artwork published, including a magazine cover illustration drawn by a 17-year-old student in the Advanced Illustration Program for high school artists, and this program involves working with editors, writers, and designers to create illustrations for publication. SummerRocks! 2026 offers week-long rock band and visual arts camps, and the Clayton Rocks Concert Stage is used for performances as part of the Clayton Rocks! concert schedule. Community members can see more about the school in a Parkbench.com interview about CSCA.
Parent feedback includes comments such as, “Great Teachers. My daughter loves coming here,” and appreciation for the school’s “creativity and enthusiasm during these times.” One parent notes that a 15-year-old student has worked with a teacher named Dina for almost three years on vocal skills and composing original songs to record in a studio. Another parent review highlights a 4-year-old piano student performing Beethoven’s “Fur Elise” at a first concert at the school.
