Summer Camp is a school break camp for children ages 511 years old. The camp is described as a safe, fun, and active environment where children play, develop new skills, and forge new friendships.

About the provider
Registration opens in March 2026. Residents living within Chapel Hill town limits or inside Orange County may begin to register on March 17 at 8:30 a.m., and non-residents may begin to register on March 19 at 8:30 a.m. Full-day camps fill up fast. Campers age 11 and currently in 6th grade must enroll in Teen X-TREME Camp. If a camper is 11 years old and currently in 5th grade, the camper may enroll in either Community Center, Hargraves, McDougle, or Teen X-TREME Camp. The only camp that can be registered for in person is Day Camp.

Full-day camps fill up fast. We register by age for day camps, using age as of August 31, 2025. Campers age 11 and currently in 6th grade must enroll in Teen X-TREME Camp. If currently 11 years old and currently in 5th grade, the camper is permitted to enroll in either Community Center, Hargraves, McDougle, or Teen X-TREME Camp. The only camp you can register for in person is Day Camp.
