Talisman Camps is part of Talisman Programs, which provide summer camp opportunities for young people ages 6–22 with Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and other learning differences. The camp offers specialized camp experiences for young people ages 6 to 22 on the autism spectrum, with ADHD, and/or other learning differences, and includes a wide variety of traditional summer camp activities along with specialty programming for kids with autism, Aspergers, and ADHD. The program uses progressive adventure programs and focuses on building success while increasing social skills, a sense of personal responsibility, confidence, and a more positive self-image, and works on social skills, confidence, self-esteem, building peer relationships, increasing accountability and sense of responsibility, attaining personal goals, and having fun. Campers are disconnected from devices and away from family, and staff are described as highly trained and caring, with a depth of knowledge about spectrum kids, teens, and young adults, and as attentive to each child’s individual needs. Talisman Camps notes that staff at traditional camps are not trained to work with youth diagnosed with autism, Aspergers, and ADHD, in contrast to Talisman Camps.

Since 1980, Talisman Camps reports over 40 years of summers for children on the spectrum and describes having over four decades of experience providing remarkable summers. The camp is ACA-accredited as an ADHD, Aspergers, and autism summer camp and is accredited by the American Camp Association. Talisman Camps is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit and uses donations to continue to serve more families, and families can also host events at Talisman. The program reports a 4.9 of 5 stars rating based on 74 reviews on Facebook.

Parent feedback includes reports of campers talking at length about activities, conversations, and things they saw, and one parent describing their child as filled with energy after camp. Another parent describes being impressed in many ways and feeling grateful for the opportunity. A parent of a daughter reports that she had a fantastic time, kept her talisman on, stayed in daily contact with another camper, texted with friends from Foundation, and started “dating” a boy from Quest, and that she looks forward to returning.
