Kids Way Summer Camp offers weekly themes, weekly field trips, and many activities in the school and outdoors. Campers take part in field trips that may include visits to the Lake Stevens Community Garden, picnics at local parks and playgrounds, The Reptile Man, Jetty Island, bowling, movies, water play, Kangaroo Farm, Hibulb Cultural Center, the library, Centennial Trail, Frisbee Park, Everett Children’s Museum, Skagit Children’s Museum, Snohomish Valley Golf, Pottery Nook, Woodland Park Zoo, The Science Center, The Museum of Flight, The Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, Forest Park, skating, and the Seattle Aquarium.

• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–6:00 pm, for 2 1/2 months of activities (closed July 4th and September 2nd)
• Price: Tuition is $250 per week (Mon–Fri) or $65 per day if less than full time

Kids Way Summer Camp is in its 8th year of providing summer care to its school age population and has been providing quality care and education since 2009. Kids Way Summer Camp is available to all elementary school age children in Kindergarten through 5th grade, and children do not have to be Mount Pilchuck students or Lake Stevens School District students to attend. Kids Way has a 15-passenger van to transport children during field trips. The program’s mission statement is “Teaching the Way Kids Learn.”

The leadership team includes Miss Kellie as Lead Preschool Teacher, Miss Ashley as AM Teacher’s Assistant, and Miss Sasha as PM Teacher’s Assistant. Miss Kellie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Sciences from Washington State University, is a certified yoga instructor, was a ski instructor, is certified in wilderness survival, and has completed the required certifications and DCYF trainings to be a Lead Teacher. Miss Ashley is a high school graduate with the goal of an Early Childhood Education degree. Miss Sasha is a Snohomish High School graduate, is currently in college pursuing a degree in education, has varied experience working with children, and has worked as both a swim instructor and a lifeguard.

Kids Way Summer Camp is fully licensed by DCYF to use the stage area, gymnasium, and playground, including a covered area. Kids Way is a military-approved provider serving families in the Navy, Army, Coast Guard, and Marines, and all Kids Way programs are military-approved. Kids Way Before and After School Program is not a school district-sponsored program. The program describes itself as “Safe ~ Affordable ~ Fun!” and has open enrollment for Summer 2025.
