About
Joslyn Art Museum Art Camps give young artists time in the galleries and sculpture gardens for inspiration and then bring them into the studio to work. Camp activities include drawing, painting, printing, and constructing.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday options in June and July, with half-day sessions in the morning or afternoon
• Price: Free general admission to the Joslyn Art Museum.
Joslyn Art Museum’s campus comprises three connected buildings surrounded by sculpture gardens, and art camps use both the galleries and gardens as part of the experience. Some camps can be combined for a day-long experience with a supervised Lunch Bunch, and extended care is not offered. The Joslyn connects people with art and each other, and many people take part in studio classes, group tours, public programs, and activities with community partners each year. The museum was a gift to the people of Omaha from Sarah Joslyn in memory of her husband, George, and has welcomed millions of visitors since opening on November 29, 1931. The director, Jack Becker, and the Board of Governors welcome families to the museum. The Joslyn is a 2025 and 2026 winner of the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Art Museum in the nation and the recipient of the 2026 Omaha Metropolitan Area Tourism Award for Best Attraction in Douglas County. The Joslyn’s collection includes over 12,000 objects representing 5,000 years of human creativity and diverse cultures, and the museum is recognized globally for its architecture across three distinct structures.
