• Ages: 4–14 years old
Completely KIDS educates and empowers kids and families to create a safe, healthy, successful and connected community. The organization serves more than 3,400 Omaha-area kids, primarily between the ages of 4 and 14, and their families through partnerships with schools, homeless shelters, the Ronald McDonald House, and other agencies. They provide services for family members of the kids in their programs, including adult classes such as life skills, GED, ESL, and workshops, as well as classes that help parents learn skills to improve the economy and self-sufficiency of the family. Staff serve as conduits to communication with teachers and administration at the schools where their programs are located. Their holistic approach includes providing nutritious meals and mental health services for kids and families. The organization relies on the generosity of individuals and organizations and invites people to volunteer, pack Weekend Food bags, organize a supply drive or make a general donation, and also invites interested parties to contact them about partnering. They host a featured event where chefs bring signature pork dishes complemented by pinot wines and bourbon samplers, and they hold an annual golf scramble at Champions Run.
