About
Florida 4-H offers hands-on learning as part of its youth programming. The program is part of the larger 4-H network, which is the nation’s largest youth development organization. It is a nonformal, practical educational program that serves youth from many different backgrounds and interests.

Florida 4-H is the youth development program of Florida Cooperative Extension, which is a part of the University of Florida IFAS. In Florida, more than 230,000 members participate in 4-H, contributing to a national community of more than 6.5 million young people. The program reaches both boys and girls through 4-H clubs, special-interest groups and short-term projects, school-age childcare, individual and family learning and mentoring, camping, and school enrichment. Florida 4-H focuses on three main program areas: science, citizenship, and healthy living.
