• Price: Boys Basketball tuition: $265; Girls Basketball tuition: $265; Girls Volleyball tuition: $265; Co-Ed Learn-to-Row tuition: $320
The camps are open to students from any school who are entering grades 5 through 9 and are designed for beginning to intermediate athletes. Dedicated coaches and Lakeside varsity student-athletes are involved in running the camps. A summer nurse will be available during summer programs. Lakeside's summer athletic camps state that they are a fun way to learn new sports, improve athletic skills, and make friends.
The boys basketball camp runs July 20–24 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for five days. The girls basketball camp runs July 27–31 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for five days. The girls volleyball camp runs July 13–17 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for five days. Co-ed learn-to-row has three separate five-day sessions: Session 1 is June 22–26, Session 2 is July 20–24, and Session 3 is July 27–31, each from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and each session covers the same content with registration for one session per camper.
Participants in co-ed learn-to-row must know how to swim. For co-ed learn-to-row, transportation to and from Lakeside is not provided. A mandatory float test form will be sent to families before co-ed learn-to-row starts. The float test consists of floating, treading water, or swimming in place for 10 minutes in deep water while wearing long pants and a long sleeve shirt, and in the final minute the camper must put on a life vest while continuing to tread water. The float test can be administered by a lifeguard certified by the American Red Cross.
The leadership team includes boys basketball head coach Elijah Silas-Tafelsky, the girls basketball program head as girls basketball head coach, girls volleyball head coach Justin Tan, and co-ed learn-to-row head coach Steve Genise, along with Chris Hartley, Director of Athletics, and Dionna Leach, Associate Director of Athletics. Lakeside School states that it prohibits discrimination on any basis protected under federal, state, or municipal law and that it is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The program acknowledges that Lakeside School resides on lands originally inhabited and stewarded by the Coast Salish people and recognizes the contributions of Coast Salish and Indigenous Peoples, along with the inequality, racism, and political marginalization they continue to face. Financial aid is available, with the financial aid application included as an option in the online registration process, and financial assistance is awarded according to demonstrated family need on a first-come, first-served basis.
