Minnesota Youth Athletic Services, Inc. (MYAS) was organized in 1991 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the delivery of youth sports services to young athletes, coaches and parents. Since its establishment in 1991, MYAS has been a cornerstone of youth sports development in Minnesota. MYAS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is Minnesota's largest multi-sport organization focused solely on youth athletics. The organization offers a comprehensive range of leagues, tournaments, events, training and development programs, and educational resources, and serves as a central hub for youth sports activities, connecting over 150,000 young athletes annually.

MYAS provides the MYAS Monthly Youth Sports Connection Newsletter, a user-friendly website and event management platform, and active social media channels. It serves as a primary educational and safety resource and offers insurance recommendations for youth sports. Other services include www.trustedcoaches.org and the Minnesota Youth Basketball Alliance, and the Trusted Coaches program uses the tagline “Better Coaches. Safer Kids.” MYAS is home of the Midwest Regional Swim Meet and the Midwest Wrestling Tour. The MYAS conference room is designated the “D.W. Klinkhammer War Room” in honor of co-founder Dan Klinkhammer.

The leadership history includes Dan Klinkhammer as co-founder of MYAS, Albert Nuness serving on the MYAS Board of Directors from 1991–2021, and Alex Rowell serving on the MYAS Board of Directors from 1994–2021. MYAS connects over 150,000 young athletes annually through a network of youth associations, schools, coaches, and parents, and provides information and updates to thousands of teams. MYAS has announced a partnership with Precision Basketball and Coach Forrest Witt to advance youth basketball development across Minnesota, and GSTC showcases the MYAS + Saint City Partnership.
