ALEOOOP offers a summer program that includes sports and games, recreational swimming, arts and crafts, science and nature activities, and theme weeks. Children can also take part in Little Cooks, guitar and piano, beading, Irish dancing, art, basketball, and other games and science activities. All courses are held at the schools where ALEOOOP runs its programs.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Weekday summer program, 9:00am–2:00pm, offered in two 2-week sessions with the option to attend all 4 weeks
• Price: Nominal fees are charged, although no child is denied access due to financial need.
ALEOOOP offers a Summer Program coordinated and directed by certified, experienced, and caring schoolteachers, and an onsite director manages the program. ALEOOOP is a non-profit, quasi-municipal entity overseen by a volunteer Board of local parents: Yolanda Cafiero – President and Vice President; Julie Barteles – President and Vice President; Jennifer Henderson – Secretary; Lauren Niederauer – Treasurer; Donné Booysen – Board Member; and Jess Mays – Board Member. ALEOOOP has been serving the Allendale community since 1995, and the ALEOOOP Board states that it is proud to offer this Allendale community-based summer program. The program is open to all Allendale children entering kindergarten through 8th grade who are eligible for enrollment in the Allendale School District, and no child is denied access due to financial need.
