All That Dance Studio

All That Dance Studio offers Mini Mover classes, preschool dance classes, combination classes of ballet, tap, and jazz, and a wide range of styles including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, lyrical, contemporary, African dance, and a Broadway Dance class. The program also offers a dance related wellness program, Aerial Arts, Pilates on the Reformer, Aerial Classes, Private Pilates Reformer Classes, ballet and creative movement classes, West African Dance, dance fitness classes, and options such as birthday parties, custom choreography, summer programs, workshops, and trial classes. Dancers can also take part in dance companies, dance workshops, ballet workshops, a Precision Kickline Workshop, and dance master classes.

All That Dance Studio was founded in 2001 and became a nonprofit dance education facility in 2009, and it is beginning its 25th year of dance. All of the dance classes are taught by dance professionals who have a degree in dance or are certified to teach dance. The studio is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, and its facility is ADA compliant.

All That Dance Studio states that it is committed to providing an exceptional dance education program, promoting artistic expression in dance, inspiring and enhancing the lives of its students, cultivating life-long learners to appreciate the arts, and enriching the community through cultural and theatrical experiences, workshops, and seminars. The program offers a culturally and diversified performing arts program for all ages and abilities and is dedicated to providing dance education in many genres for children, pre-professionals, and adults from diverse backgrounds with and without disabilities. Teachers approach each student in a nurturing environment without prejudices regarding size, race, color, religion, gender expression, age, nationality, disability, or marital status in any of its activities.

Children’s classes are taught based on age and ability level, and a graded syllabus is incorporated at each level for dancers from beginner to pre-professional. Each class size is limited to maintain a specific teacher-dancer ratio. Specialty dance classes and guest artists’ workshops are offered during the year. Dancers have the opportunity to perform in an annual Holiday show and Spring Showcase, and participation is encouraged but not required. The December show and end-of-year productions are professionally staged events that incorporate theatrical elements. Students may enroll at any time during the year and begin their dance training, and they also have the opportunity to audition for dance companies.

All That Dance Studio offers dance and dance fitness classes at affordable rates, provides a family discount when more than one child is enrolled, and gives families a $15.00 credit after a new family they recommend registers. The dance related wellness program is developed for dancers and adults to strengthen muscles, develop a dancer’s technique, improve flexibility, and reduce stress or anxiety. The studio offers birthday parties and will plan a party specifically for a child. All That Dance Studio offers a Mini Mover Class for ages 2–3, preschool dance classes for ages 3–5, combination classes of ballet, tap, and jazz for ages 5 and above, Ballet and Creative Movement Classes for 2.5–3.5 year olds, Ballet/Tap for ages 4 and 5, and Kindergarten Ballet/Tap/Jazz. New offerings include a dance related wellness program with Aerial Arts and Pilates on the Reformer.

All of the fully air-conditioned studios are built on an elevated, sprung floating floor to help prevent dance injuries, and each studio has a mirrored wall, with the ballet studio including professional dance barres. The studios have observation windows for parents to watch their children dance without disrupting the class, and the studios are video monitored. The waiting room has comfortable seating and Wi‑Fi, and there is a fully stocked boutique where dancers can purchase tights and shoes. All That Dance Studio has ample parking available with exterior lighting.

All That Dance Studio dancers participate in local events, help Girl Scouts earn their badges, and assist local schools with their theatrical productions. Company dancers were invited to perform at a Harlem Globetrotters game in Wildwood, NJ, and have performed at Walt Disney World and attended a dance workshop with two Disney choreographers. Funding for the studio has been made possible in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cumberland County Board of County Commissioners through the Cumberland County Cultural & Heritage Commission.

Parent and student comments about All That Dance Studio include appreciation for encouragement and thoughtfulness given to dancers, descriptions of teachers as having exceptional talents and making dance an enjoyable and rewarding experience, and notes that children have blossomed since starting at the studio.
