About
Trinity Learning Center is an outreach of Trinity United Methodist Church that integrates academic curricula with intentional biblical principles and the modeling of Christian character and values. The program’s goals are aligned with four facets of child development: spiritual, cognitive, physical, and social, using Luke 2:52 as a model. Full day rates apply for children 18 months through non-kindergarten 5 year olds who attend any additional hours beyond the 8:00 am–12:30 pm partial care schedule.
• Ages: 1–5 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday with care available as early as 6:30 am and as late as 6:00 pm; partial day option from 8:00 am–12:30 pm
• Price: When school has an early dismissal there is an additional $30.00 charge per student; when school is closed, a full day rate is $70 and a half day rate is $35; BEFORE and AFTER CARE is $160 per week with a daily rate of $32 per school day and $70 per full day when Simmons is closed; AFTER CARE only is $140 per week with a daily rate of $28 per school day and $70 per full day when Simmons is closed; BEFORE CARE only is $110 per week with a daily rate of $22 per school day and $70 per full day when Simmons is closed; a sibling discount of 20% is applied to the lower tuition; late fees are $1 per minute after scheduled pickup times; registration fees are $40 for a single child and $60 for a family.
Partial Day hours are from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm and include breakfast, lunch, and a snack, with children required to arrive by 9:00 am and breakfast served until 8:45 am. Full Day hours are for children who arrive as early as 6:30 am and remain up until 6:00 pm and include breakfast, lunch, and two snacks.
Trinity Learning Center states that academic growth and spiritual growth are considered integral parts of the maturation process and that learning should be a positive experience that is interesting, challenging, and fun. The program aims to guide children toward a positive view of God, others, and themselves and states that children thrive where they are loved and respected as persons and are held to a positive standard of respect and obedience. The physical goal is to develop gross and fine motor skills, the use of the hands, and the use of the body to serve God and help others. The social goal is to teach and model positive social interaction that leads to a healthy self-identity by fostering the love of God, putting others first, and encouraging self-control and respect for authority within an environment of acceptance and trust. The cognitive goal is to stimulate the desire to learn in order to acquire the wisdom necessary to live as godly, productive citizens who will serve God, their families, their community, and their nation. The spiritual goal is to lead by example and make an internal, external, and eternal impact on children, the families, and each other as a staff.
All staff members are described as committed to loving and caring for each child and making the children feel comfortable and secure while providing age-appropriate lessons. The mission statement explains that Trinity Learning Center is an outreach of Trinity United Methodist Church offering a Biblical ministry that seeks to nurture, strengthen, and equip persons of all ages in their journey of faith. The leadership team includes Director Jennifer Loomis and Assistant Director Ede Jenkins.
