City Green Summer Camp includes Farm Camp at the Farm Eco-Center and Garden Camp at Eastside Park. Campers take part in an immersive farm and garden experience at the City Green Learning Farm and the Eastside Park Learning Garden in Paterson.

• Ages: 5–10 years old
• Schedule: Farm Eco-Center open Tuesday–Wednesday 9am–4pm and Friday 9am–3pm, with additional contact hours Monday–Friday 8am–4pm

City Green Summer Camp is part of City Green, a 501(c)3 nonprofit farming and gardening organization based in Clifton, New Jersey. City Green’s programs offer practical, technical and financial resources to foster equitable access to local food and green spaces, in support of sustainable, healthy communities. City Green has been growing healthy cities since 2004 and envisions livable, green urban communities that are socially, economically and environmentally rejuvenated. Henry Anderson serves as City Green’s Director of Agriculture and has previously held the titles of Farm Manager and Farm Director. City Green nominated Henry Anderson for the Rodale Institute Good Farmer Award U.S.

Through City Green programs, youth have volunteer, work and leadership opportunities in the community. City Green’s Seed Lending Library is open to the community and contains a variety of vegetable seeds, including many of the varieties used on City Green farms. Community garden and greening projects are carried out by the community with the help of City Green, and residents have access to bountiful fresh produce through City Green projects. Neighborhoods involved with City Green have welcoming, safe, natural respites that are a focal point for sociability, community involvement, cultural expression and individual empowerment. The Paterson Garden Contest is open to all Paterson residents and includes categories such as Best Front Yard Garden, Best Container Garden, and Best Flower Garden. The Dig In! Tree, Bulb, & Native Perennial Grant program, run in partnership between Passaic County and City Green, offers municipalities and community groups the opportunity to participate in county-wide greening and planting through the distribution of plant grants. The Climate Change Learning Collaborative operates in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Education and has enabled City Green to provide local New Jersey public schools with climate change education.
