About the provider

The YMCA has served the Brunswick area since 1867. Its mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The leadership team includes Gina Stravic, Preeti Srivastava, Brian Rose, Gillian Withum, Brenda Dempsey, Allison Gambino, and Poonam Rawat. The site also says the YMCA helps connect neighbors in Middlesex County to the New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (NJ SNAP) and provides scholarship fund support, food distribution, free swim lessons and water safety instruction, free online and in-person health and wellness education and programming, and support, education and mentoring to childcare kids.

Program Membership (adult or youth) allows registration for YMCA programs such as child care, summer camp, swim lessons, swim team, youth sports, etc.; individual program fees apply; non-refundable. Family memberships include a free Youth Sports class per child per session for basketball and martial arts only. Youth age is 16 and under for family memberships. Swim lesson registration is first-come, first-enrolled; a current YMCA membership is required; full payment is required upon registration. Refund policy: full refund if withdrawn 7 days before the first class; after that, no refund.
