Taubenslag Productions is a children’s theater company dedicated to presenting quality family entertainment and teaching children how theater arts can build confidence while also having fun. THEATERWEEK is designed to build a child’s self-esteem and confidence, and the program’s stated goal is to give audiences a day they will never forget and to involve children and their family members in a memorable experience.

Taubenslag Productions has been an award-winning Edison summer camp program since 1964, with its Summer Theater Camp going into its 31st season and its THEATER DAY CAMP in its 36th year. The company began its residence at the Jan Hus Theater in New York City in 1964 and was the resident Children’s Theater Company at Middlesex County College for 19 years. THEATERWEEK has been bringing theater arts to schools for over 30 years, has been produced in hundreds of schools and organizations, and more than 100,000 children have performed in THEATERWEEK. For over 50 years, the company has been producing shows at theaters nationwide, entertaining generations of families, and its popular Summer Theater Camp is described as providing a safe atmosphere of fun, excitement, and camaraderie, with the majority of campers returning year after year.

The founder is Elliott Taubenslag, and the owner and producer is Michael Taubenslag. Elliott Taubenslag received the distinguished Governor's Award for outstanding achievement in educational theater from New Jersey Governor Thomas Kean, the National Recreation and Parks Association’s Dorothy Mullen Arts & Humanity Award, and the New Jersey Recreation and Parks Association Award for Excellence in Programming. THEATERWEEK won a national award for Best Children’s Program in the USA, and the award-winning Theater Day Camp was honored by the New Jersey State Senate, General Assembly, and County Freeholders for artistic excellence and over 25 years of service to children.
