Starstruck Dance offers dance classes that include both an engaging recreational program and an elite competitive dance company. Dancers take part in competition dance, recitals, summer classes, auditions for The Company, and events such as Parent Observation Day, a Friendsgiving event, a holiday party, and Picture Day with DSM Photography. Students from Starstruck Dance participate in a variety of dance competitions, including Breakout, Turn It Up, On Point, Open Call, Beyond the Stars, Reverb, Dance Xplosion, In10sity, KAR Dance Convention, and Heat Dance Convention, as well as Dancers Against Cancer fundraisers.
Starstruck Dance is entering its 20th season in a new, 5,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility and is proud to enter its 19th season, building on 16 years of excellence in dance and a previously celebrated 15th anniversary. The program is under the direction of Nancina Bucci. Teachers at Starstruck Dance have a combination of professional careers and college educations in dance. The stated mission is to be passionately committed to providing each individual the opportunity to learn the art of dance in a positive, structured, and inspiring environment.
Starstruck Dance has been recognized as a Hope Studio for Dancers Against Cancer and is part of the Circle of Hope Contributors, with dancers donating winnings from competitions toward their goal to become a Hope Studio again. SDNJ directors and choreographers attended the Industry Dance Awards and Dancers Against Cancer Benefit at the historic Avalon Theatre in Hollywood, California. Starstruck Dance is the recipient of the 2025 ADCC Studio of Excellence Award and has been recognized as a studio that focuses on technical excellence, with instructors receiving numerous accolades and choreography awards at regional and national competitions. SDNJ has earned Industry Dance Award Selections for Best Performances in Jazz, Musical Theatre, and the People’s Choice categories, including two selections for Best Performances in the Regional Musical Theatre and People’s Choice categories.
