Hamilton Police Athletic League (PAL) offers a variety of activities including Boy's Basketball, Girl's Basketball, Girls & Boys Basketball, Jr. NBA-WNBA, Wrestling, Baton Twirling, Cheerleading, Street Hockey, Street & Field hockey, CrossFit with Cops, Safety Town, Youth Academy, and Youth Police Academy. The program’s mission statement is “Helping the Youth of the Community.”
• Schedule: Hamilton PAL Street Hockey season runs from 5/5 through 6/20, with sessions every Tuesday and Saturday.
All instructors are certified in youth fitness. The leadership team includes Officer Alex Zuzzio as Executive Director and Lieutenant Kristin Seitz as President. Additional leadership roles include Officer Sean Dorney as Treasurer, Sergeant Edward Lugo as Secretary, John King as Director of Basketball (Boys), and Michael Kostinas as Director of Basketball (Girls). Lieutenant Michael Kane leads the Youth Police Academy, and Kate Kane is the Director of Community Outreach. Officer Christopher Foley serves as Facilities Director. Cheerleading is led by Melissa Bitner, Jenna LaVacca, and Danielle Nutt as Cheer Directors. Safety Town is directed by Detective Ben Zuzzio and Shirley Carpenter. Dennis Myers and Steve Gould serve as Directors of Scholarships. Jared Romanski is the Director of Hockey, Elaine Rossi-Griffin is the Director of Twirling, and Jena Carpenter is the Director of Wrestling. Officer Joseph Avanzato, Gary Huy, and Dina Thornton serve as Members At Large. CrossFit with Cops aims to promote physical fitness, teamwork and respect by encouraging positive youth interactions with police officers in the gym. Hamilton PAL partners with the team at Cure Arena to offer discounted tickets to upcoming events, and a special, personalized ticket link has been created exclusively for Hamilton PAL families for discounted tickets to events at Cure Arena.
