Hamilton Police Athletic League (PAL) offers a wide range of activities, including Girls & Boys Basketball, Boy's Basketball, Girl's Basketball, Wrestling, Street Hockey, Field Hockey, Baton Twirling, Twirling, Cheerleading, CrossFit with Cops, Safety Town, Youth Academy, Youth Police Academy, and the SHOP Program. The CrossFit with Cops activity involves youth working with police officers in the gym.
• Schedule: Hamilton PAL Street Hockey runs from 5/5 through 6/20, with sessions every Tuesday and Saturday.
The mission of Hamilton Police Athletic League (PAL) is stated as “Helping the Youth of the Community.” All instructors are certified in youth fitness. The leadership team includes Officer Alex Zuzzio as Executive Director, Lieutenant Kristin Seitz as President, Officer Sean Dorney as Treasurer, and Sergeant Edward Lugo as Secretary. Program directors include John King for Boys Basketball, Michael Kostinas for Girls Basketball, Lieutenant Michael Kane for the Youth Police Academy, Kate Kane for Community Outreach, Officer Christopher Foley as Facilities Director, Melissa Bitner, Jenna LaVacca, and Danielle Nutt as Cheer Directors, Detective Ben Zuzzio and Shirley Carpenter as Safety Town Directors, Dennis Myers and Steve Gould as Directors of Scholarships, Jared Romanski as Director of Hockey, Elaine Rossi-Griffin as Director of Twirling, and Jena Carpenter as Director of Wrestling. Additional members at large are Officer Joseph Avanzato, Gary Huy, and Dina Thornton. Hamilton PAL has partnered with the team at Cure Arena to offer discounted tickets to upcoming events for Hamilton PAL families, and a special, personalized ticket link has been created exclusively for these families.
