The mission of New Jersey YMCA State Alliance Youth Programs is to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Donations support programs such as Diabetes Prevention Programs and food distribution programs at local YMCAs and community centers. The Y is the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, with more than 2,600 locations in 10,000 communities across the country. Across the Y, 21 million people, including 9 million youth, participate, supported by 500,000 volunteers and 20,000 full-time staff. Each YMCA Association is an independent, autonomous organization with its own governing board, professional staff, and assets.
