About
Music Together offers early childhood music and movement classes where children and their grownups take part in family music classes, music classes in schools, and Music Together Within Therapy. The program includes an in-school music curriculum and a licensed application of Music Together for credentialed allied health professionals called Music Together Within Therapy. All Music Together families sing and dance to the same music in the same informal class setting.

Music Together is an early childhood music and movement program for children from birth through age eight and the grownups who love them. The program’s early childhood music curriculum has decades of research behind it in both music education and child development. First offered in 1987, Music Together now offers classes at more than 2,000 locations in over 35 countries, in indoor, outdoor, and online classrooms. Family music classes bring families of all kinds together in a warm, supportive environment where everyone sings, dances, and jams, and creating lasting family and community bonds through music is described as a large part of the program. Music Together in schools is described as raising the overall quality of a child’s education by supporting school readiness, family engagement, parent-child relationships, and teacher professional development, and music is described as a powerful learning tool when it is part of the school day. Individuals can offer Music Together Within Therapy in various settings, and many Music Together centers around the world are hiring teachers, with teachers and licensees coming from many different backgrounds and sharing a commitment to bringing music into the lives of as many families as possible. Music Together states that it is on a mission to make the world a better place by making it more musical. Music Together is used at thousands of preschools, childcare centers, and other early learning settings around the world, and a partnership between Goshen College Music Together and Triple P Elkhart County is studying how Music Together naturally supports early relational health in both preschool and infant classes. Parents have described Music Together as “Fun. Fabulous. Uplifting. Magical,” and one Music Together mom said that anyone who offers Music Together is “an exceptional human.”
