Betty’s Ceramics Club is a ceramics program held at Betty’s Ceramics Club studio. The program is named in honor of co-founder Sam Spratt’s grandmother, Betty. The team is described as being passionate about creating a positive space to create.
Betty’s Ceramics Club was co-founded by Sam Spratt and McKendree Key. Betty’s began as a fundraiser in Brooklyn, and in 2020, Betty’s came to life as a program. During the pandemic, Betty’s produced and donated ceramic tableware that could be sold in order to raise money for Covid relief. Through this work, they raised money for Bed-Stuy Strong, local schools, and various other community organizations.
