Ivy Primary Prep

Ivy Primary Prep offers an early education program that combines a primary focus on academics with play through The Ivy Path Curriculum. The program uses a structured, engaging curriculum built on individualized lesson plans that match each student’s learning abilities, with small classes and a warm, community-focused environment. It includes an Infant Room intentionally designed with simplicity, safety, and sensory-appropriate play, structured routines for toddlers, a well-rounded preschool experience with structured learning and play, and a kindergarten program that exceeds state expectations for academics.

Owner and director Mary Christian leads Ivy Primary Prep and holds an MBA. The program’s stated mission is to provide a nurturing, structured environment where children build confidence, independence, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Ivy Primary Prep serves families in Jersey City with programs from infancy through kindergarten, with families coming from neighborhoods including Newport, Hamilton Park, Paulus Hook, The Heights, Journal Square, Hoboken, and other Hudson County communities. Community experiences at the program have included a special visit from the Jersey City Fire Department and celebrating Holi.
