The program is located inside the school and includes a wellness screening area near the Family Communication Area. Only authorized staff and families may enter sites. All sites include smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, and sites are cleaned daily with safe, non-toxic cleaning products, with high-touch items and surfaces sanitized throughout the day. Most sites offer breakfast, lunch, and snacks, with menus that satisfy applicable federal and state nutrition guidelines where meal service is provided. The program uses strict procedures for child arrival and departure, including sign-in and sign-out and photo identification for pick-up. Children have supervised outdoor play only on safe, secure outdoor play spaces at the school or program location. The program follows strict policies for administering medication, including requiring a doctor’s note for any medication for children under the age of 2. Each site has an emergency evacuation plan that is tested frequently, with emergency plans and procedures posted in each classroom, and a National Support Center crisis team supports each center during and after emergencies.

Champions states that it has a solution for busy working families that combines activities with fun and learning, along with the safety and convenience of a high-quality program inside the school.
