The Morris County Adaptive Recreational Program (McARP), Teen Club, and Paradise Farm Day Camp are part of the ArcMorris recreation services. These recreation services are community-based and promote self-help and social skills while also providing respite for families and caregivers. Paradise Farm operates as the organization’s summer day camp.

ArcMorris is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization originally incorporated in 1953, with over 72 years of service for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families. Its mission is to assist people with intellectual disabilities and their families by providing services and information in a caring and sensitive manner, and to help the individuals it serves lead fuller lives and make positive contributions to their communities through activities and programs that welcome everyone with a family atmosphere. ArcMorris operates 29 facilities throughout Morris County, including 21 residential homes, 4 supervised apartments, 2 adult day habilitation/administrative buildings, 1 summer camp, and 1 headquarters administrative building. ArcMorris is described as the leading provider of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families, in Morris County, NJ.

The leadership team for ArcMorris includes Interim CEO Naira Aslanyan and multiple vice presidents and directors, including Gabriela Moran, who serves as Director of Transitional and Recreation Services & Camp. Other key leaders connected to recreation and support services include Charlotte Diaz, VP Day Habilitation & Wellness Services; Sarita Garg, Director of Habilitation, Hanover Center; Elvia Orama, Director of Day Habilitation, Flanders Center; and Adrienne Valentine, Director of Intake & Family Support Services.

ArcMorris works with local and state officials and other state Arc chapters to support policies and programs that benefit individuals with I/DD and their families while protecting their rights as members of the community. It also works with chapters across the country to advocate for national policies that help individuals with I/DD lead fuller lives. ArcMorris hosts annual and special events including Walktoberfest: Step Up For The Arc, an Autumn Classic golf outing, and an Annual Awards Gala that recognizes people in the community who provide care for those with disabilities. Volunteers, including individuals, businesses, and groups, can contribute services or funds to support these efforts.

Families have shared feedback about ArcMorris services, including comments such as, “I am thankful for all you do, not only for my sister, but all your clients!” from Rosalie. Another family, Barbara and Cliff, described how their relative Amanda has increased her independence and formed bonds with staff, and they stated that they feel she is safe and cared for. Antonio Salters, VP of Operations & Risk Management, has stated, “Their safety and health is what matters most to us.”
