Varsity Prep USA offers a mix of sports, arts & crafts, and swimming activities. The program includes a Summer Day Camp @ NMHS that features sports, arts & crafts, swimming, sun, and fun, along with Specialty Camps and Summer Middle School Camps. Varsity Prep USA also runs year-round programs such as after-school enrichment, School’s Out Pop-Up Days, and Trips & Travel Day Adventures & Overnight Trips, as well as Varsity Pathways College & Career Readiness and other youth development programs.

Varsity Prep USA is an educator-led summer camp and youth enrichment and is described as a year-round youth programming organization dedicated to helping kids learn, grow, and thrive through sports, enrichment, and leadership. Programs are described as inclusive, supportive, and built to meet kids where they are. The organization offers K–5 after-school enrichment right at Gibbs & Berkeley and is designed by educators, run by educators, and rooted in the communities they serve.
Varsity Prep USA began in 2018 as a small, single summer wrestling camp and has since grown into a trusted, year-round youth programming organization serving more than 600 families from New Milford and surrounding communities, and hundreds of families across Bergen County with camps and clinics. The leadership team is led by founder Ray Cottiers, a proud New Milford High School graduate (Class of 2004), lifelong educator, and championship-winning coach. The staff includes 12 New Milford Board of Education teachers and 14 New Milford High School students, and is led by experienced educators, coaches, and high-energy counselors.
Ray Cottiers has earned multiple recognitions, including 2025 New Milford Public School District Teacher of the Year, 2025 Bergen County Wrestling Coach of the Year, 2025 State Sectional Championship Head Coach, 2025 Region 1 Head Coach of the Year, 2025 District 4 Head Coach of the Year, and 2025 NJIC Head Coach of the Year. Varsity Prep USA is rooted in the communities they serve and partners with families, schools, and local leaders, welcoming more than 600 families from New Milford and surrounding towns.
Parent feedback includes comments such as “Varsity Prep is our go-to all year long.
