Fairview Lake YMCA Camps

Fairview Lake YMCA Camps offers overnight summer camp, weekend retreats, school trips, and group retreats that can include weekend retreats for families, adults, parent-child pairs, and community groups. Program activities include spending days on the lake, exploring trails, gathering around a campfire, pond studies, wildlife observation, team-building, and night hikes. The program also offers options such as a family weekend getaway, a fun afternoon at camp, and a structured adult program.

Fairview Lake YMCA Camps was established in 1915 and states that it has been connecting people with the outdoors, with each other, and with themselves since 1915, noting “111 Years of Creating Camp Magic.” The program’s mission is: “Strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.” It offers Environmental Education programs that blend hands-on science, outdoor adventure, and character development, and describes its setting as a “Classroom with Room” where forests, fields, and lakes replace four walls. For weekend retreats, all meals, lodging, and activities are included, and financial assistance is offered to families and organizations through an Annual Support Campaign so no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Fairview Lake YMCA Camps is a branch of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, is ACA Accredited, is nationally accredited for child safety by Praesidium, and reports a 90 Net Promoter Score compared with an industry average score of 50.
