BJJ Shore Academy Kids & Youth Programs offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for children, including Kids BJJ Gi – Self Defense Classes Ages 5–8, Kids BJJ Gi – Self Defense Classes Ages 9–12, and the LITTLE CHAMPS – Toddlers program. All kids’ BJJ classes use a gi (kimono/school uniform) and follow structured self defense learning in a non-competitive environment, with kids partnered by size, age, and skill level. The LITTLE CHAMPS – Toddlers program focuses on increasing confidence, integration into groups, willingness to try new things and initiate play, listening skills, sense of pride in achievements, greater strength, flexibility and coordination, and early sports skills, and 3.5-year-olds in Little Champs must be potty trained.

• Schedule: The school is open 6 days a week and offers a schedule of morning and evening classes for adults and children; kids BJJ classes are 45 to 60 minutes and LITTLE CHAMPS – Toddlers classes are 30 minutes.
BJJ Shore Academy specializes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is described as a black belt school that has produced 26 black belts who train with students daily. All classes are structured self defense learning in a non-competitive environment, and family discounts and law enforcement/military discounts are offered. A beginners program (Fundamentals/Basic BJJ) is available, and free 2-week trials are offered for Little Champs to see if they can take part in the class setting.
The leadership team includes Professor Bill Scott, a 4th Degree BJJ Black Belt, along with assistant instructors, and Certified Yoga Teacher CYT Level II Micaela Scott. The mission of BJJ Shore Academy is to serve the community by promoting a positive mental attitude and the highest level of physical fitness through the study of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, providing high quality martial arts training, delivering student service, and maintaining a clean and safe family atmosphere. The school states that Professor Bill Scott and assistant instructors will continue to pass on the traditions, values, and principles of this martial art so students of all ages can achieve fulfilling productive lives through serious Jiu-Jitsu training.
