A Maker's Circle Kids Classes

A Maker's Circle Kids Classes offers hands-on art activities including pottery, painting, drawing, crafts, ceramics, watercolor, oils, natural dyeing, rug hooking, and wet felting. Classes take place in a larger, sunny studio space that is described as an inclusive, inspiring place for children to explore creativity through these different mediums. The program also offers workshops taught by highly skilled artists and crafts people specializing in fiber, ceramics, paint, and more.

A Maker's Circle Kids Classes is part of a studio whose mission is to explore creative work through a variety of art classes for both adults and children and to bring creativity to the community in a supportive, open environment. The leadership and teaching team includes founders Jackie Pidgeon Pankuck and Susan Rundquist Palmer, along with Susan Palmer and Celia Economy. Staff credentials include experience as watercolor and oil painters, ceramic artists, fiber artists, an art teacher, a master seamstress, and certification in Sequencing. The studio also offers private classes, including options for homeschoolers who need art classes, and can customize a class if a family selects a class and a small group of friends or relatives. In addition to classes, the program is part of a community that hosts special events featuring local artists, annual holiday pop up shops, and a curated retail space during pop up shops with handmade items by local artists, including plans in 2021 to host single-artist pop ups monthly.
