West Windsor Arts Classes & Camps

West Windsor Arts Classes & Camps offers art classes, summer camps, art workshops, and arts education classes that include activities such as music, dance, movement, cultural traditions, and artistic expression. The program also includes art exhibitions, lectures, family fun nights, dance parties, community service programs, select performances in theater, music, and dance, as well as literary events.

• Schedule: Program options available Monday–Friday with daytime and early evening hours, plus Saturday daytime hours

Teaching Artists in West Windsor Arts Classes & Camps are all accomplished practicing artists. West Windsor Arts was established in 2010, and in September 2010 the art center opened in the historic 1931 firehouse after planning that began in 2002 when community members and West Windsor Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh convened the Mayor’s Art Center Formation Task Force. The mission of West Windsor Arts is to cultivate the artist within everyone while inspiring a creative community that is engaged, inclusive, and equitable. The organization has partnered with Art Against Racism, Eden Autism, the African American Parent Support Group of West Windsor-Plainsboro, and Homefront for special programming, service initiatives, and exhibitions, and it regularly works with school-based programs that support work/study opportunities for students with disabilities and with nonprofit organizations to provide arts learning opportunities to under-resourced students through grant funding and scholarship donations. West Windsor Arts also participates at local events such as West Windsor Community Day, National Night Out, and the Farmer’s Market. The arts center offers an online store where families can purchase original art and handmade items by a curated selection of artists, and each purchase supports the arts and artists of West Windsor Arts.
