The Gateway Family YMCA Summer Day Camp includes games, sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, science and technology projects, STEAM activities, Learning Loss Prevention Activities, special events, and swimming. Summer Day Camp at The Gateway Family YMCA uses a combination of indoor and outdoor activities. Swimming is available at Five Points and Rahway Branch Summer Camp only.

• Schedule: Weekly sessions, Monday–Friday, generally 8:30am–5:00pm
• Price: 2026 Weekly Session Rates for Traditional & Preschool Camp: Five Points Branch & Rahway Branch Full Member $313, Youth Program Member $349; Elizabeth Branch Full Member $263, Youth Program Member $298. Weekly Session Rates for Sports Camp: Five Points Branch Full Member $323, Youth Program Member $359. Summer Camp Registration Deposit of $50 per weekly session is required at the time of registration.
Traditional Summer Day Camp 2026 runs from June 22 to August 28 in one-week sessions, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. Preschool Summer Day Camp 2026 also runs from June 22 to August 28 in one-week sessions, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. Sports Day Camp 2026 runs from July 6 to July 21 in one-week sessions, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm.
The Gateway Family YMCA states that proof of immunization must be uploaded during the registration process, and an immunization record is required for the Department of Health for all youth camps. Photo identification is required for all camp pick-up, and any authorized pick-up individual who is not a current member of The Gateway Family YMCA is asked to join as a Community Member so their photo can be taken and ID verified on the first visit. An active YMCA membership for the child is required in order to register.
The Gateway Family YMCA notes that financial assistance is available for families who need it, and Community Coordinated Child Care (4Cs) and Program for Parents programs are accepted. Summer Camp Open House Parent Information Sessions are offered in person and virtually. The Gateway Family YMCA offers Summer Camps to serve the communities of Eastern Union County and Northern Middlesex County, as well as the surrounding areas.
With more than 175 years of experience, the Y states that its mission is achieved one person at a time. The Gateway Family YMCA describes itself as a community-based organization rooted in Christian principles and committed to building healthy lives through programs that strengthen spirits, minds and bodies for people of all ages, religions and cultures.
