Summer Horizons Camp offers a mix of sports, arts, science, nature, swimming, team sports, arts & crafts, gardening, field trips, games, reading, group play, quiet games, light outdoor play, field sports games, pool time, water play, music & dance, playground time, soccer, basketball, painting, coloring, inflatables, and cooking. The camp includes quiet activities such as arts and crafts as well as more active options like field sports games and water play.

• Schedule: Weekly camp sessions, with optional AM Care from 7:30–8:45 am and PM Care from 4:00–5:30 pm

Summer Horizons Camp is part of the West Morris Area YMCA Summer Horizons Day Camp. Pre-K Camp focuses on socialization, exploration, and developmental milestones such as motor skills, language, and emotional expression, and 1st & 2nd Grade Camp uses small group sizes to support inclusion and making new friends. The camp offers flexible weekly sessions, AM and PM care for an additional fee, a sibling discount of 5% per registered camper using promo code CAMPSIBLING at checkout, and it accepts child subsidies. The YMCA offers a payment plan and financial assistance.

There is a certified New Jersey Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NJREMT) on site during the camp day. All camp staff are Professional Level certified in CPR/AED and First Aid, and Pre-K/Kindergarten counselors are CPR and First Aid certified. The West Morris Area YMCA Summer Horizons Day Camp is mandated and inspected by the State of New Jersey Department of Health and adheres to all New Jersey Department of Health Youth Camp Safety Standards.

All campers must have up-to-date immunization records and completed Health History and Medication Administration forms submitted within 5 days of camp registration if the camper has prescription medications. Required documents before the first day of camp include a Health History Form, Sunscreen Permission Slip, and Camper Code of Conduct.
