Camp COLEY is a volunteer-run weeklong outdoor experience for youth entering grades 3–12. Campers are divided by grade level and gender and are supervised by Camp COLEY leaders as well as Scout staff in a fully supervised day and night program. Campers sleep in 2 person tents on cots, shower facilities are available, and hot meals are provided daily in the dining hall.

The camp has a Leader Program in which adult volunteers are assigned a campsite and a small group of campers for the week, and these leaders help train Counselors in Training (CITs). Many leaders are graduates of the CIT program and/or parents of campers. The CIT Program is for high school campers who assist leaders, help set up and run various evening programs, are assigned to a specific group of campers for the week, and encourage camp spirit and a welcoming environment.

Camp COLEY dates back more than 35 years. All leaders attend training that includes Youth Protection Training. The camp’s mission is to foster a safe and inclusive environment for all youth to grow, learn, and explore the outdoors while creating lasting friendships and lifelong memories. Camp COLEY is Exploring Post 229, 2290, and Pack 1129 with Boy Scouts of America, and its chartering representative is Gary Stapperfenne.

Camp COLEY offers year-round activities including an Annual Open House and Fall and Spring Camping Weekends. Community involvement includes Camp COLEY Cares projects such as Relay for Life, a Beaver Day service project, a coat drive, a school supplies drive, and a food drive. The chartering organization is All Saints Church in Millington, NJ, which values celebration, music, children, and respect and care for each other.
