Camp Riverbend is a family-run summer day camp where campers take part in arts and crafts, sports, cooking, nature activities, swimming, boating, and climbing. The camp also offers a Day Trippers program that includes day trips and short overnight trips in the region.
• Ages: 3–14 years old
Founded by Marianne and Harold Breene in 1962, Camp Riverbend has hosted generations of families for over 60 years in Warren Township, New Jersey. The four Breene children—Roger, Jill, Paul and Robin—and daughters-in-law Debbie and Miriam currently run the camp. Camp Riverbend has a mature, talented staff of dedicated teachers and enthusiastic college students and older high school students. Its mission is summed up as “Confidence, not Competition” and “We honor each camper's talents and efforts. Camp Riverbend is a place where each child can be themself, explore the world and learn new skills in a fun and supportive environment.” Camp Riverbend is accredited by the American Camp Association and has been since its first season.
