RiverWinds Community Center Programs include activities such as Birthday Parties, Group Ex, Karate, Pickleball, Room Rentals, a Summer Market & Music Series, Summer Camps, Aquatics, Fitness, a Rock Wall, and Art & Crafts Classes. RiverWinds Community Center opened on March 2, 2002 and is owned by the Township of West Deptford and operated for the benefit of its residents. General facility rules include no smoking in the Community Center and, if smoking outside, it must be at least 25 feet from the building. Food is only permitted in the lobby area, and no glass containers are allowed in the building, with clear plastic bottles and reusable containers only permitted in the fitness area, gymnasiums, and pool area. Anyone under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult while in the building, and there is no dribbling or ball bouncing in common areas. Proper attire, including shirts and appropriate footwear, must be worn at all times, and clothing with rude, vulgar, or offensive language or graphics is not permitted. Bathing suits may be worn only in the aquatics area, and changing in the hallway, sitting, or loitering in the hallways is not allowed. Guests are asked to refrain from inappropriate activity including public affection, yelling, and usage of profanity, and guests using profanity or abusive language, symbols, or gestures may be asked to leave the facility or be suspended. Cleats and pets are not allowed, with service animals permitted. Still and video recording devices are permitted with prior authorization only. Members may bring in up to four guests per membership household per day, West Deptford residents must show ID to purchase a day pass, and non-residents must be accompanied by a RiverWinds Community Center member. The leadership team includes Mayor James P. Mehaffey and Township Committee members Ashley Morrell, Adam Reid (Deputy Mayor), James Robinson, and Kimberly Schultz.
